It's time for Holiday Cards!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!It's time to get your holiday photos done and get your Christmas cards bought and sent off! With Christmas fast approaching I started to scramble. There are so many choices for card makers. The big question is "Where am I going to get the best quality for the least money?". After much dilebration I have decided to use Shutterfly.

They have amazing cards, and some great holiday deals going on! The only thing I can complain about is how hard it is to actually pick a card since there are so many awesome cards to choose from.

Another great thing about shutterfly (that isn't related to Christmas/Holiday cards) is they have things you can buy year round!

They have calendars .
They have photo mugs.
They have Thank you cards.
Of course they have prints!

This is my second time working with the Stratton family, and it was again such a fun experience! They are so easy going and fun to be around! Liam was such a little sweety, and a SO adorable! Liams big brother loves him so much, he was giving him kisses the whole time! This newborn shoot is getting me so excited to meet my own little one!

How cute is her belly?? It makes me excited for mine to get bigger! She was so fun, it was more like hanging out with a friend then working! Her little boy was SO cute! I look forward to photographing Liam when he arrives in November (or sooner)!!

Trying to help out.

For the past few nights I wake up, and my mind just starts racing and I can't for the life of me go back to sleep.

This morning around 6 I woke up and the thought came to me "Why not donate the money you make from your photography to something that matters". So I started thinking what I could donate money to. The first thought that entered my mind was Childhood Cancer. While my mind continued to race I thought about all the things I wanted to donate to...Cancer, Charity Water, Autism, March of Dimes, and so many others.

I have decided that for October I will donate 50% of all received funds to Childhood Cancer Research Fund.

So this is where you (friends, family, clients) come in!

Where would YOU like to see 50% of Novembers funds go? What matters to you and why?

Nathan Sneak Peak!

Can I just say...what an ADORABLE family!! Nathan was a absolute dream! I got so many great shots from this shoot, I can't wait to edit them all! I also think I have a new favorite shoot location, the Evans library is so adorable I love it!!

Also, I had the pleasure of bringing a fellow photography friend with me, and she was wonderful to work by! Can't wait to see what she got!

Photoshop Actions::A Story of New Found Love

I'm kind of new to the photoshop world, and I just discovered photoshop actions.
HOWWWWWW did I ever live without them? They make my life so much easier! I did a lot of browsing on deviant art and found about 15 that I really like! (and they are free!) of course they have fabulous action on sites that you can buy, but we'll save that for another day!

I wanted to give you a few examples of some actions that I liked.....

this is the original, followed by the actions








possibly my favorite...good clarity, neutral tones, and just a smidgen washed out, which I love.


I'm not sure how to feel about this action, but i think I like it. i know it will look better with a picture with lower light.


Now, like with most things in life, some of these actions were hit and miss...these missed. Its not really the action, but rather the picture that is the problem....but still the point is that not all pictures and actions go together.

Meet your Photographer!

Hello! I thought it was time that I better introduce myself!

I love my family, I love my friends, and I love photography!

I'm 20 years old, I'm married to a wonderful man (we just celebrated our 3rd year of marriage! yes, i got married at 17!)Together we have a beautiful 20 month old baby girl, and we just found out that we are expecting number 2! We are a military family, Air Force to be exact! I enjoy moving, but I am glad that we will be in one place for a while.

I enjoy music, movies, and blogs! I feel like I'm very easy to get along with, and tend to become friends with most people I meet.

I like to get out of the house and explore...I'm having a great time discovering new photo locations here in Augusta!

I "pride" myself on my affordable prices, I don't think anyone should be have to go to a studio and get boring portraits done, when you can get photos that show your child's personality for the same, or less money!!

4 days new! She was so sweet, and SOOO easy to work with, she barely cried the whole shoot!! Shes such a beautiful little girl, and she posed so well for the camera! I loved doing this shoot!

How fun!! I loved this shoot (like i do all my shoots ha) It was so neat to see her baby kicking! i can't wait to do her little girls newborn pictures next week!!
